The African Forum for Innovative Teachers (AFFiT) successfully held an orientation programme in collaboration with the College of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) on January 15, 2026, at the FCT College of Education, Zuba (Permanent Site).
The orientation formed part of preparatory activities ahead of the induction of AFFiT Research Fellows, aimed at strengthening research culture, academic collaboration, and professional development within Colleges of Education.
Strengthening Research and Academic Collaboration
The engagement brought together academic staff and union leadership to discuss AFFiT’s research-driven fellowship model and its role in promoting innovation, evidence-based teaching, and institutional growth.
Participants were introduced to the objectives of the AFFiT Research Fellows Programme, which focuses on:
