The African Forum for Innovative Teachers (AFFiT) successfully hosted the Nasarawa Excellent Principals, Headteachers and Teachers Awards (NEPHTA 2025) on Saturday, June 14, 2025, bringing together educators, school leaders, government representatives, and key stakeholders to celebrate excellence, leadership, and innovation in education.
The event opened with an inspiring keynote lecture by Dr Gloria Nnaji, whose powerful message encouraged purposeful leadership, ethical service, and continuous professional growth among education professionals.
NEPHTA 2025 also featured capacity-building sessions that provided practical tools, peer learning opportunities, and leadership strategies aimed at strengthening school administration and effective teaching practices.
A major highlight of the program was the recognition of outstanding principals, headteachers, and teachers who emerged successful from the final screening stage. Their dedication, innovation, and commitment to service reflected AFFiT’s belief in rewarding excellence to inspire system-wide improvement.
The ceremony further witnessed the induction of new members into the NEPHTA network, welcoming a new generation of professionals committed to excellence, collaboration, and impact-driven service.
In a significant moment, AFFiT conferred Ambassadorial Fellowship honors on the Chairman and Vice Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government, recognizing their visionary leadership, support for teacher development, and advocacy for inclusive education at the grassroots level.
NEPHTA 2025 reaffirmed AFFiT’s commitment to empowering educators, strengthening institutions, and advancing quality education across Nasarawa State and beyond.
